Craghoppers opened the doors of its first flagship store on the prestigious George Street in Edinburgh on 7th June. Offering innovative, technical and stylish clothing and accessories for men, women and children, it is set to be a go-to store for anyone needing kit and inspiration for everything from weekend hikes to camping staycations!
With sustainability at the heart of Craghoppers, the team has been mindful of this for the shop fit by supporting local businesses and reducing its carbon footprint where possible. 70% of Craghoppers products are made from recycled materials and now the new store features reclaimed wood for fixtures, with locally sourced plants to bring the outdoors in!
To celebrate World Oceans Day on 8th June, Craghoppers has worked with local artist, Katie Chappell @katiedraws on a bespoke painted window, spotlighting the work of partners, Galapagos Conservation Trust on protecting our oceans and its inhabitants.
The shop will showcase Craghoppers signature technologies including NosiLife anti insect technology, SolarShield sun protection and AquaDry waterproof and breathable technology. From casual outdoor summer pieces to performance mountain gear – Craghoppers staff will be on hand to advise what kit is best for which activity.
“We are so excited to have this amazing space to showcase Craghoppers. We hope that customers will come, browse and buy from the store. But we have also created a community space for local businesses and activity centres to inform and inspire.”
Joanne Black, Retail MD added, “We hope that this will encourage likeminded people to meet up and get inspired to explore the local outdoor spaces.”
