ISPO in 2012

The ultimate sports spotlight on brand and business innovation

For buying, networking, distribution opportunities and sheer sports business inspiration, ISPO should be your first appointment in 2012.

Cheaper flights and accommodation (there’s even a Lufthansa deal on the website) all make for easier access. It’s the one sports event that you really need to consider to take your sports business forward.

With huge shows taking place in MUNICH (January 29-February 1) and BEIJING (22-25 February), it confirms that ISPO is the sports business network – enabling brands and retailers to discover and benefit from the most dynamic market opportunities.

ISPO highlights everything from a first look at product developments, to discovering innovative ideas for merchandising.

When it comes to getting a sports business edge, more than ever you need the right inspiration as well as the right openings – and as a commercial platform ISPO gives you exactly those advantages.

More than a trade show, ISPO has become internationally acknowledged as the ultimate sports spotlight on brand and business innovation, and the most productive meeting point for people that keep the global sports industry dynamic.

ISPO MUNICH will play host to over 2,000 international exhibitors from the action sports, traditional sports and performance sports markets, with over 60,000 visitors expected again from more than 100 countries.

The FSPA will be hosting an outstanding area again in hall B4 – and invite all ISPO visitors to join them on Monday evening after 5pm for an informal get together at the UK Pavilion. Additionally, there are UK brands represented throughout the show.

Right now, visitors can benefit from up to 50 per cent off admission prices before December 16 at .

But take a close look at the new ISPO CARD. For just €77 you can save yourself money, time and hassle, as it provides free use of the airport-to-show shuttle. You don’t have to pay for your public transport in Munich (saving you £10 or more a day) and you get to use the superb cardholder lounge and make use of all the facilities.

The card includes your admission to all the shows, so there are no queuing or extra costs.

ISPO MUNICH takes place from January 29 to February 1, but the energy doesn’t end there.

From February 2-4 you can go straight from show to snow at the ISPO On Snow Demo in Hintertux – perfect for kit testing or just kicking back. You could also use the event for a group or sales meeting, and ISPO is happy to help with planning. There are shuttles running from ISPO MUNICH to Tux on Wednesday, returning on Saturday.

From the European sports energy of ISPO MUNICH, at the end of February the focus is on China, where ISPO BEIJING ( ) is paving the way to sports business success. China is now the most exciting of emerging markets, with consumers hungry for authentic sports labels.

A new lifestyle focus and an interest in action sports and outdoor, as well as core sports, has resulted in a vibrant and vital show for Asia. ISPO BEIJING is not just setting the trends with product innovations on display, but setting the trends by becoming the ultimate resource.

In 2012 a UK group will be hosted by the Outdoor Industries Association to showcase some of the best of British, in line with the growing demand in China for quality outdoor and lifestyle products. With IP no longer such a critical issue as a result of market evolution, there is a wealth of opportunity to be found.

Brands are also able to take place in distributor matchmaking, a scheme that provides them with introductions and a forum for discussion with interested potential partners.
