2019 OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO announces cooperation with Reon Energise

The organisers of OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO have announced a cooperation with Reon Energise ahead of the event taking place on March 23-24.

Reon Energise make energising powder shots, certified by Informed Sport, to help athletes energise anytime, anywhere. They contain caffeine (80mg equivalent to a double espresso) and essential Vitamin B12.

Each shot provides an easy and fast-acting way to fight fatigue and increase energy for athletes and runners to use as a pre-training or post-work out boost, and for a variety of On-The-Go occasions throughout the day.

Runners can be assured that there will be plenty of options for hydration and refuelling during the various races taking place over the course of OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO. There are toilets every 2.5km and regular water stations offering mineral water and a selection of energy gels, electrolytes, soft drinks and fruit. At the end of each race, each runner also receives water, electrolytes and fruit alongside their bespoke finisher’s medal.

In addition, there will be a dedicated Massage Space providing recovery treatments at the finish area, powered by Ice Power.

OPAP Limassol Marathon GSO is one of Europe’s most recognised sporting events, welcoming 15,000 athletes to six different races over the course of two days. This year will be the 13th anniversary of the event and it promises to be the biggest and best yet. Hundreds of British runners will be making their way to Cyprus to run their chosen race, soak up the beautiful spring climate and enjoy the fantastic social atmosphere for which Limassol is known.

Limassol is certainly a perfect location for runners of any ability, from those attending their first international race through to serious runners looking for a PB. The flat and fast course covers long stretches of traffic-free road including the spectacular coastal road of greater Limassol, rewarding runners with magnificent views over the sparkling Mediterranean. Pacers will also be present in the marathon and half marathon races, helping runners to hit their targets.
