Construction has begun on Grangers’ new headquarters near Chesterfield, Derbyshire, the milestone being marked by a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Martyn Rose, chairman and Karolina Jones, General Manager.
The project forms part of Grangers’, the aftercare brand for technical outdoor clothing and footwear, 80th anniversary celebrations, the custom-built headquarters is set to open later this year.
Martyn Rose, Grangers’ chairman, said: “Grangers has gone from strength to strength in the last decade and with 40 per cent international year-on-year growth in volume in 2017 and many exciting new retail partnerships established in the last year, our 80th anniversary year is the right time to invest and further improve Grangers’ operational capability in the UK.”
It follows news that the British company will launch in the Chinese market in 2018 having established a promising partnership with the ambitious distributor, Rongs Sports.
Karolina Jones, General Manager, added: “Grangers has undergone a remarkable journey of growth since the brand was founded, supporting the first ascent of Mount Everest in 1953, supplying the British Military and helping today’s polar explorers stay warm, safe and dry.
“The construction of a new, custom-built head quarters marks another great step forward, and will see all of the brand’s core functions brought under one roof including Grangers’ manufacturing arm, distribution, finance, design, sales and marketing teams.”
