adidas and ParalympicsGB have unveiled a new extension which will see the iconic partnership continue for another eight years.
Extending until 2032, adidas will continue to equip ParalympicsGB athletes for summer Games in Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032, as well as the Paralympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina 2026 and French Alps 2030. The partnership will supply ParalympicsGB athletes with competition wear across the 22 Paralympic summer sports and six Paralympic winter sports. adidas will also provide village and podium apparel that athletes will wear off the field of play during competition time.
The announcement of the latest extension comes following another successful Paralympic Games for ParalympicsGB, with the team collecting 124 medals in total – including 49 golds. This year’s ParalympicsGB apparel collection, grounded in the iconic British red, white and blue, features a typeface inspired by one worn by athletes in 1924, celebrating 100 years of Great Britain’s sporting heritage. In a first for adidas, 81%*[1] of all competition, podium and village wear created for adidas sponsored teams were selected and designed using universal design principles, enabling athletes both with and without disabilities to compete in comfort and without distraction.
Kathryn Swarbrick, Senior Vice President of adidas Northern Europe said: “We’re proud to announce the extension of the partnership between adidas and ParalympicsGB, marking our ongoing commitment to providing athletes with the best performance technology and eye-catching designs. This year’s games saw ParalympicsGB inspire the nation, finishing an outstanding second in the medal table. The team surpassed our total in Tokyo with incredible haul of 49 gold medals and 124 overall. As we look to the Winter Games and beyond to LA 2028, we’re delighted to be part of the journey of our ParalympicsGB athletes and team.”
David Clarke, CEO of the ParalympicsGB said: “Over the course of this partnership, adidas has become one of ParalympicsGB’s most trusted partners. Whether it’s working with world-leading designers, such as Stella McCartney, drawing upon the latest sport performance technology or their focus on inclusive and universal design, adidas’ support has helped our country’s greatest Para athletes perform at their best and stand out on the world stage. We’re excited to continue this partnership and see ParalympicsGB athletes wear adidas apparel in the future summer and winter Paralympic Games to come.”
