Aqua Sphere teams up with the Ecover Blue Mile

Aqua Sphere has become the official swim kit partner to the Ecover Blue Mile, the mass participation water sports event designed to encourage more people to get active and support greater care of our seas, shores and wildlife.

Launched in 2010, the Ecover Blue Mile has grown from a flagship event in Plymouth to encompass over 200 grassroots events around the UK, including a new schools event to link school sport with marine conservation.

With the Marine Conservation Society as its official charity, the Ecover Blue Mile encourages people across the UK to connect with their local beach and waterway by doing a sponsored mile in or next to water.

The challenge can encompass swimming, paddling or even zorbing a blue mile and the aim this year is to raise £50,000 for MCS.

“Aqua Sphere is part of the globally acclaimed Aqua Lung International group and it is very much part of our corporate culture to support the protection of our water environment and the creatures within it,” says Martin Newton of Aqua Sphere.

“We would encourage as many people as possible to sign up for the Ecover Blue Mile flagship event in Plymouth on September 14-15 and get involved in the other events and help to raise as much money as possible for the MCS.”
