Aqua Sphere has signed a sponsorship agreement with world champion triathlete Timothy O’Donnell.
The reigning US Pro 70.3 champion and six time US Armed Forces Champion is coming off a strong season that included a top 10 finish at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, two overall event wins, including the Ironman 70.3 US Pro Championship, and multiple podium finishes on the Ironman circuit.
Kicking off his new partnership with Aqua Sphere, O’Donnell will start his 2013 season at a familiar race, the Ironman 70.3 San Juan, where he previously claimed top honors as a 2-time winner of the event.
He will toe the line wearing the brand’s Phantom wetsuit, K180 goggles and Energize Speedsuit.
“I am beyond excited to join forces with the leading wetsuit and goggle provider in the industry,” says O’Donnell.
“Aqua Sphere’s range of high quality swim products made them the natural choice when considering my sponsors for this next season.
“Their Phantom wetsuit is incredibly flexible with great core support and the K180s provide me with an excellent range of vision in a small package without sacrificing comfort.”
“We are extremely excited to welcome Timothy to the Aqua Sphere team,” says Jake McLaughlin, Aqua Sphere’s triathlon sponsorship manager.
“His experience and talent makes him the perfect addition to elevate Aqua Sphere and solidify our brand as the premier swim gear choice of triathletes.”
