THE ALPINE VILLAGE
Each day, the Alpine Village in Chamonix, at Place du Triangle, will have its own dedicated schedule and become the buzz of the town. Free for all to attend, all six movies from the program will be screened during the evenings. During the day, the Alpine Village will host the registrations and demo gear area, and act as a meeting place for participants, locals from the alpine community and elite athletes alike. An Arc’teryx brand experience space will preview next winter gear and the brand ‘Outer Peace’ initiative. Everyone is welcome to come for free and enjoy the festival vibes! Naturally, full Covid safety protocols will be in place at the event.
In the evenings, movies will be screened at the Alpine Village. Highlights from the 2021 program include three world premieres: elite climbers Nina Caprez and Cédric Lachat taking on Switzerland’s biggest walls in “WoGü”, skier and highliner Silvia Moser celebrating our deep connection with the natural world in “4 Elements”. Also in the films line-up is a unique project which uses rhythm and dance to tell the story of Chamonix’s glaciers called “Glacial”. During three days, a total of six movies will be screened.
