ASICS and Addison Lee trial greenest way to deliver parcels in the capital

ASICS and Addison Lee, London’s largest minicab and courier provider, are trialling the capital’s first-ever running courier service.

Delivering small packages and parcels across central London, the team of 20 athletes are the most environmentally friendly couriers in London and will be donating a percentage of proceeds to the British Red Cross.

“This is a really innovative and environmentally friendly way to beat the traffic of central London,” says Tim Don, one of the UK’s leading triathletes and an ASICS ambassador (pictured).

“The team are going to have to work very hard, but we hope the businesses of London will keep them busy with plenty of orders so we raise as much money as possible for British Red Cross.”

Commenting on the launch of the service, John Griffin, chairman of Addison Lee, said: “The new running courier service is another first for Addison Lee.

“This has got to be the greenest way possible to deliver parcels and we’re expecting lots of our corporate clients to jump at this opportunity and support a very good cause.”

The trial began yesterday (August 15) and continues until August 19.

Customers can book via www.addisonlee.com or the company’s call centre on 0844 600 66 77.
