ASICS EMEA reported a consolidated net revenue increase of 35.0%* year to date (YTD)

ASICS EMEA reported a consolidated net revenue increase of 35.0%* year to date (YTD) versus the same period last year and operating income increased significantly to 42.7M euros for Q1 2021.

ASICS reported 43.9% year-on-year growth in wholesale channels across EMEA for the YTD ending March 2021. ASICS revenue in wholesale channels increased year on year in Germany (66.8%), France (46.1%), UK (52.1.%), Italy (79.4%), Iberia (57.6%) and Sweden (26.4%). ASICS EMEA also continued to see e-commerce growth, with an increase of 110.7% YTD versus last year.

ASICS Remains Europe’s Number One Running and Tennis Brand
ASICS reaffirmed its position as Europe’s number one brand in Running and Tennis according to NPD data. Millions of runners and players across the region continued to put their trust in ASICS innovation to help them perform and stay injury-free.

Record-Breaking Innovation
In March 2021, ASICS launched two high-performance running shoes that take the power of human-centric design to the next level. In an industry first, METASPEED™ Sky and METASPEED™ Edge shoes have been scientifically designed with a distinct type of running style in mind. The new racing shoes are already helping athletes to reach the top of their game with high-performance shoes that support their running style. Beth Potter ran an unofficial world record over 5Km, Sarah Lahti set a new Swedish 5km record and Hillary Kipkoech ran a world-leading 10km time of 27:35, all wearing METASPEED™ Sky shoes. This latest innovation has already supported over 100 elite athletes to beat their personal best.
