BIRMINGHAM is Up and Running again with the relocation of the specialist running store now complete, and the opening scheduled for Saturday, March 11, at the newly renovated Grand Hotel, Colmore Row.
This exciting new store in the heart of the city centre, will be a hub for runners from all over the city with the store’s weekly Social Run Group and their involvement with many local events.
To celebrate the opening this Saturday, there will be an opportunity to try the nostalgic flavours of the Torq energy range at the Torq tasting station, as well as a 5k social run with a run leader from technology brand TomTom. The runs will leave the store at 11am and again at 1.30pm.
Suitable for all abilities, you don’t need to sign up beforehand just be ready to run at either of those times. All runners will have the opportunity to try a TomTom watch on the run, and a special discount for those looking to buy one.
There will be a talk about the benefits of GPS and Heart Rate Technology at 12.30pm.
If you’re already a runner or if you ‘re planning to take up the sport, there’s a £50 gift bag with purchases over £50, but these are limited so get down early to Colmore Row.
In this exciting year, which sees the first Birmingham International Marathon in October, hosted by the Great Run Company, Up & Running are looking forward to welcoming new and old customers to their store and giving service standards that are second to none.
