Brandnation appointed to Handle UK PR For Cycle, Tri & Run Brand Pearl Izumi

LONDON 14th JUNE 2016: Brandnation’s sport and fitness division has been appointed to handle UK lifestyle PR for Pearl Izumi – the Colorado-based specialist sports brand is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of performance apparel and footwear for cycling, running and triathlon.

Pearl Izumi is aimed at both competitive athletes as well as more style-conscious outdoor/active enthusiasts with a focus on producing high quality equipment. Brandnation’s wide-ranging brief will primarily focus on raising the brand’s profile in targeted general, lifestyle consumer broadcast, press and online media.

In addition to managing Pearl Izumi’s UK press office Brandnation will be working to maximize all current and future sponsorship and ambassador associations including professional triathlete Holly Lawrence and elite women’s cycling outfit, Team WNT.

The Pearl Izumi (meaning ‘fountain of pearls’) brand originated in Tokyo, Japan more than 60 years ago when a father produced Japan’s first bicycle racing apparel for his son, a promising racer. In the years since the brand has led innovations in fabric technologies, garment construction and design to achieve the highest performance and quality available without compromising comfort. Today, Pearl Izumi, based in the USA, outfits some of the world’s top athletes and teams to test, race and further refine its technical, functional, anatomical and lightweight gear engineered to perform perfectly no matter the weather.
