With less than a month to go until Elevate, the UK’s largest physical activity trade event, organisers have announced details of the expert judging panel for the Elevate Innovation Awards 2018.
The Elevate Innovation Awards recognise the best products and services in defined categories linked to the show’s themes of inclusivity, performance, health and wellbeing and business. Judged by a distinguished panel of industry experts, the five categories are: Best Health and Wellness Innovation, Best Workout Innovation, Best Facility Innovation, Best Innovation for Human Performance and Best Start-up.
Twenty-two judges have been announced by the organisers, ranging from CEOs and entrepreneurs through to fitness directors and social media influencers. Their task over the first morning of the show will be to identify the best products and services designed to get the nation moving.
Judges include Michelle Dand, Head of Fitness Product and Programming at David Lloyd Clubs, James Balfour, Co-Founder of 1Rebel, Katie Bulmer-Cooke, Fitness Entreprenuer, Charlie King, Personal Trainer and TV Personality (TOWIE, MTV Body SOS), June Clark, Health and Wellbeing Manager at Nestle, Dean Horridge, Founder and CEO of Fit for Sport, Adam Blaze, Strategic Lead Disability at Sport England and Daniel Lynn, Club Director at YMCA Club.
Max Quittenton, Founder and Director of Elevate, said: “Last year’s inaugural Elevate Innovation Awards were a huge success and we’re very excited to further improve and grow them this year. There will be so many innovative products and solutions on display in 2018 – it will be a big challenge for our panel of esteemed judges to identify the very best products and services paving the way in tackling such a complex issue within society as physical inactivity.
“Innovation is one of the most important ways the health and fitness sector can help to tackle inactivity, and the awards provide a great opportunity for exhibitors to show case their latest products and gain valuable exposure and endorsement.”
Entries for the Elevate Innovation Awards 2018 are open until 29 April 2018. The five awards categories will be assessed by the judging process as they walk the show floor on the first day of the show, scoring entries against set criteria. The presentations of winners will take place during the evening drinks reception on May 9.
Last year’s awards received 55 entries across five categories, shortlisted to 28 finalists ahead of the show. After an intense and closely contested deliberation process, the products and services that emerged victorious and were awarded the Gold Standard included PayAsUGym: Monthly+, Amilly International: NuStep, Poolview: Plus+, POWERbreathe: K5 including Breathe-link software and Fitlinks: Online Job Board and Talent Matching Service.
The awards are open to companies exhibiting at Elevate 9-10 May 2018. To enter the Elevate Innovation Awards, please visit:http://www.elevatearena.com/elevate-innovation-awards.
