Hi-Tec has revealed details of its Ultra Trail Series 2012, which is to be handled by experienced endurance events company Extreme Energy.
Since the launch of its V-Lite Infinity trail running shoes, Hi-Tec has increased its involvement in the trail running event arena.
And having worked with Extreme Energy in 2011, a branded series of events seemed like a natural step.
Consisting of five multi-stage events over 12 days covering 370 miles, the Hi-Tec Ultra Trail Series 2012 is aimed at the serious trail runner.
Offering a complete package of overnight accommodation, transportation and food in stunning off-road routes in the south of England, many of the events will earn runners qualifying points for the 2012 Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc – the pinnacle of the European trail race calendar.
“Following the success of our first serious range of trail running footwear, the launch of our own branded ultra trail series is wonderful for Hi-Tec,” says Laura Greenaway, Hi-Tec marketing communications executive.
“It’s our chance to show that we’re serious about getting a foot in the trail running shoe market and this is supported by our V-Lite Infinity products – the ultimate fusion of technologies designed to deliver peak performance.”
Neil Thubron, director of Extreme Energy, adds: “The Extreme Energy team are very excited to be teaming up with Hi-Tec for our 2012 Ultra Trail Series.
“We have designed our events to inspire our competitors to push themselves past their physical and mental limits, so it is fantastic to work with such an experienced outdoor company.
“We are convinced that Hi-Tec will bring loads to the trail running community and our endurance athletes.”
