HI-TEC has opened a new showroom in Kendal in the Lake District in order to service the growing demands of new and existing customers based in the North of Britain.
The showroom was opened on March 31 by Frank van Wezel, the company’s founder and chairman. Several key outdoor retailers joined the HI-TEC team to celebrate its unveiling, which displays the latest key ranges in the company’s outdoor collection.
HI-TEC has also announced an impressive 12.5 per cent increase in 2008 UK outdoor footwear sales. In addition, forward sales orders have increased by over 65 per cent compared to the same period in 2008.
The company continues to invest heavily in ion mask technology, with a global advertising campaign and brand new creative planned for 2009. The UK company has booked a six-sheet outdoor campaign, to be sited in 850 high street locations, and 10 shopping centre banner sites across the country. The campaign will feature the V-Lite Altitude Ultra product, the first-ever footwear in the world to feature ion mask technology. Launched in September 2008, the V-Lite Altitude Ultra has sold over 200,000 pairs globally.
Says Martin Binnendijk, HI-TEC’s CEO: “These are truly exciting times at HI-TEC with further investment growth and development of the HI-TEC outdoor collection and the continued success of the ion mask technology.”
