Tannus Tyres will be the official tyres at all Human Race cycling and triathlon events in 2017, after a recent deal was signed between the two companies.
Tannus make airless, puncture-free tyres, which last more than 6,000 miles. As part of the agreement, the partnership comes as Tannus prepare to release a new 700x25c tyre targeted at the sportive and triathlon market.
Tannus European director, Jazz Walia said: “We are very pleased to have agreed this deal to work with Human Race. They are the leading brand in the UK sportive market and offer an excellent opportunity to help us get the message about Tannus out there.”
As a result of the deal, Tannus will be present at some of the UK’s most prestigious mass-participation sporting events this summer, including Dragon Ride L’Étape Wales by Le Tour de France, the Nuffield Health Royal Windsor Triathlon, the Chiltern 100 Cycling Festival and TP ICAP L’Étape London by Le Tour de France. Participants at these events will have the opportunity to try out Tannus products, with the Tannus team on hand to demonstrate how the airless, puncture-free tyres can be fitted.
Nick Rusling, Human Race CEO, concluded: “We are constantly working to develop new experiences for the tens of thousands of cyclists and triathletes that we welcome to our events each year. As such, fellow innovators Tannus Tyres are a perfect match for Human Race. I’m sure our participants will relish no-longer having to worry about punctures or being weighed down by inner-tubes, tyre levers and pumps.”
