Hy-Pro International’s product donations valued at £15,000

Between January and June this year the company donated three pallets of toys and sports and outdoor equipment to In Kind Direct for redistribution to UK charities working at home and abroad.

The goods have an estimated retail value of over £3,000.

Since joining forces with In Kind Direct in 2011, Hy-Pro has donated 15 pallets of goods with a total estimated retail value of over £15,000.

In Kind Direct was founded in 1996 by The Prince of Wales to provide an efficient and easy way for manufacturers and retailers to donate their products to good causes.

One of the charities benefitting from Hy-Pro’s products is The East London Centre for Movement, Gymnastics and Dance, which is renowned for its coaching expertise and is a vital community hub for the 650 children and 800 adults who use it.

The gym uses products sourced from In Kind Direct for a variety of activities, including backpacks, sports bags and wristbands donated by Hy-Pro.

“Using In Kind Direct makes a huge difference to our budget,” Jamie Atkinson, manager at The East London Centre for Movement, Gymnastics and Dance, says.

“We receive so many essential products such as sports equipment and kits.

“Saving the amount we do on these things means that people can continue to come here and access all the activities and coaching expertise we provide.”
