Infrared textile technology officially launches in medical sector

Smart-textile company, KYMIRA, announces the official launch of its sister brand, KYMIRA Medical, which aims to utilise its renowned infrared technology for medical applications to treat, manage and regulate chronic conditions.

The KYMIRA Medical launch comes following the company’s latest appointment of Jurek Sikorski as Chairman of KYMIRA.

Jurek, who is Executive Director of Henley Centre for Entrepreneurship at Henley Businesses School and former CEO of several listed pharmaceutical and medical device companies, brings with him extensive experience within the healthcare and life sciences industries. Jurek’s appointment demonstrates KYMIRA’s determination to grow within the healthcare industry.

Tim Brownstone, CEO and founder of KYMIRA, said: “Our goal has always been to improve people’s lives with the technology that we produce, and that’s exactly what KYMIRA Medical aims to achieve. We now have a growing range of products that can help individuals with chronic pain, circulatory disorders and rehabilitation just by adapting our infrared technology.

“Launching a medical brand has always been my personal ambition and I’m truly delighted that I’m now in a position to do so. With the help of Jurek and the whole KYMIRA team, I’m certain our products will be greatly received by those who need them the most.”

KYMRA’s products are already globally recognised within the sports industry for offering varying benefits to the wearer such as increased circulation, pain relief and accelerated recovery time.

By utilising this technology, KYMIRA Medical will be able to assist with conditions associated with chronic pain, circulatory issues and rehabilitation from soft tissue damage, whether that be from a fall, or an operation.

By capturing the waste energy from the wearer’s body and light from their surroundings and converting it into infrared, the medical products will aid those suffering from various joint conditions such as arthritis and bursitis, and diabetic foot pain or those recovering from injuries, surgery or even strokes.
