The retailer became the official partner of parkrun UK on January 1 and last Saturday (January 23) the first event where INTERSPORT was visible to the parkrun community and officially recognised as a partner took place in Wimbledon, south west London.
It coincided with the opening of the new INTERSPORT store on The Broadway, Wimbledon.
A video has been created celebrating the partnership, which will be released in the next few weeks and become part of a series as the connection moves across the UK and Ireland during 2016.
The three-year agreement will allow parkrun UK to establish new events, while supporting existing event teams, including run directors and volunteers, with essential kit.
INTERSPORT will also be providing exclusive offers to parkrun’s 1.3 million participants, who run in over 400 locations in the UK each weekend.
