ispo fashion collaboration announced

It’s been confirmed that the Munich Fashion Fair and Jeans Affair Munich (JAM), two fashion trade shows, will take place at the same time as ispo SPORT & STYLE.

Says Tobias Grober, Director of Business Unit Messe Munchen GmbH: “The fashion metropolis of Munich is advancing increasingly strongly to become a recognised site for fashion, textile and lifestyle trade shows.

“Consequently, we are very much looking forward to long-term collaboration with the Munich Fashion Fair, one of the best fairs for high-quality men’s collections, and with JAM, which will take place for the first time this season.”

The 10th Munich Fashion Fair Men will open its doors for the first time on the grounds of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre on July 8-10, while JAM takes place on July 10-11. Munich Fashion Fair Men will occupy approximately 10,000 square feet in Hall C4. 3,000 people visited the event last year.

“Our trade fair has grown enormously in a very short time, both with respect to quantity and, above all, quality,” says Moritz von Bulow, managing director of Munich Fashion Fair GmbH.

“With this move to the trade fair grounds, we are reacting to the special requirements of a growing event and will be able to fulfil the demands of our visitors and exhibitors even more. The renewed expansion of space in 2007 also illustrates the increasing significance of the Munich Fashion Fair in northern Europe.”

Says Gunther Sommer, JAM Project Director: “We created Jeans Affair Munich to provide an order, trend and information platform for the jeans industry and give companies the chance to present their collections in a concentrated and manageable manner.

“Holding JAM at the same time and near to Munich Fashion Fair and ispo SPORT & STYLE opens up new potential for all partners – retailers, the industry and the trade fairs themselves.”
