ISRA, its retail members and suppliers are looking forward to the Irish buying group’s summer show at The Heritage Resort & Spa, Killenard on July 9-10.
Once again the show offers great value and a unique platform for suppliers and retailers to meet, review the year and conduct strong levels of business.
This show is full, and ISRA is looking forward to brands such as Jack Wolfskin, PureLime, Fila and Russell Athletic exhibiting for the first time.
ISRA will also be welcoming its newest retail member – The Sport Zone in Kilcoole, Co Wicklow.
In what has been a challenging year for sports retail activity, ISRA is pleased to report that a number of its members are bucking the trend and have opened new shops.
Siobhain Tynan and Deirdre Hughes of A Sportsman’s Dream in Nenagh have invested considerable resources in their new premises, and now have one of the finest independent sports stores in the country.
Aiden O Connor has opened a second store, called JK Active Sports, in new premises in Listowel.
The store will focus on more technical elements across many sports, and will complement JK Sports, which has a strong sports fashion business.
Padraic McKeever, who runs the very successful GAA Store in Armagh, has opened a new store in Lurgan.
Padraic and his staff continue to run a very progressive retail and wholesale operation, and have also recently developed their Teamkit Pro software.
ISRA members continue to face the daily challenge of becoming more technical and specialised in their efforts to provide additional value to their customers.
ISRA supports its members by providing a range of great services, including:
• Superior discounts and extended credit terms with suppliers.
• Factory gate product.
• The best merchant services rate in the country.
Members support each other with great information exchange, networking at ISRA’s biannual trade shows, mid-term meetings and the forums of the ISRA website (www.isra.ie).
Good independent sports retailers are always welcome to join ISRA.
