New Balance has signed England Test cricketer Jonathan Trott (pictured) on a three year sponsorship deal.
“This will allow the brand to continue developing its global reputation for performance products, with the New Balance range encompassing both cricket footwear and cricket equipment for the first time,” says Alan Hed, New Balance’s executive vice president for international.
Trott adds: “New Balance provides high quality performance footwear that not only looks great, but is extremely durable and comfortable – exactly what a cricketer requires to keep at the top of his game.
“I am very pleased to be able to help on development, as well as competing with New Balance’s high quality range of performance cricket footwear, bats and equipment.”
Before signing with New Balance, Trott had a long and successful association with Gunn & Moore.
Managing director Peter Wright says: “We are very proud of our long standing and successful relationship with Jonathan and personally he has been a joy to work with, but we understand that players sometimes want to move on for commercial reasons.
“We wish him all the very best for his future career.”
