Kolektive Ventures announces acquisition of a majority stake in 33 Joints

The deal is part of a very exciting push for investment company Kolektive Ventures – who trade in the UK under the name Projekt Indigo – to establish themselves in the UK Footwear market by partnering with leading British fashion footwear distributor 33 Joints.

The introduction of Kolektive will look to help; build brand awareness across the distributor’s portfolio, scale up growth domestically in the UK and internationally in key territories, particularly Germany, Scandinavia and India – areas wherein the investment company has significant influence.

33 Joints, Antony Nathan will continue his position as the Managing Director and shareholder, with the brands and customers underneath the fashion distributer’s umbrella remaining unchanged.

Founded by father and son team Malcolm and Antony Nathan in 2007, 33 Joints fast established themselves as the premier distribution agency for footwear brands in the UK. Formally Fresh Footwear, they were responsible for taking Firetrap Footwear from zero to a turnover of £10M+ in the early 2000s. Over the past 14 years, the distributor has established both the financial strength and confidence to build and grow their portfolio of brands, to include the likes of OSPREY LONDON, Scholl, Original Penguin, Lambretta and Elle.

The acquisition by Kolektive is one of several moves by the investor company in the fashion market who are looking to grow their portfolio with the best in class from the UK. 33 Joints will look to leverage Kolektive’s cohesive, interactive network to continue to cement their position in the UK whilst providing a significant step in the distributor’s international growth.
