Ealing Half Marathon returns this Sunday 26th September, and whilst public entries are closed it’s still possible to sign up and run for one of the official charities including Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and Meadow House Hospice – but you have to be quick!
Charity entries will close at 23:45 this Wednesday 22nd September, go to the race website and enter now to be on the start line of the 9th Ealing Half Marathon this Sunday. Places cost £55 (plus £2.89 admin fee) and runners need to collect their race pack from the race village information tent in Lammas Park on Saturday (12:00 – 15:00) or Sunday (07:15 – 08:45). Alternatively, runners can get in touch with their chosen charity to sign up for an official charity place, full details can be found on the Run for Charity page on the website.
The charities will be officially represented in the race village so make sure you go and say Hello. A variety of catering stands will also be available in Lammas Park including BBQ, coffee, breakfast and lunch options.
Ealing Half Marathon 2021 will start at 9am on Sunday 26th September, and in the men’s field Jonathan Poole will be on the start line to defend his title after claiming the win for the last three years.
Prizes up for grabs include £100 cash, a £100 Up & Running voucher and a bottle of champagne for the winners, as well as Up & Running vouchers for all age group winners, the fastest male and female Ealing resident, and the best fancy dress.
The organisers want to give a shout out to Ealing Eagles Running Club, with over 330 Eagles taking part in the race and over 100 volunteering.
Key race day timings are as follows:
07:30 – Race HQ including baggage marquees open
08:30 – Group warm up by Ealing Fitness Clinic
08.40 – Runners enter the start funnel according to expected finish time
09:00 – Ealing Half Marathon race start
10:05 – First Ealing Half Marathon finishers expected
11:30 – Prize presentation ceremony (by the large Thank You banner)
12:20 – Last finishers expected
13:30 – Race HQ closes

Ealing Mini Mile will take place from 12 noon on Saturday 25th September, with the biggest ever field of young runners signed up.

The 13.1 mile course starts in Lammas Park and will be run in a single lap, taking in parts of Central Ealing, Montpelier, Pitshanger, West Ealing, Hanwell and St Stephens before returning to Lammas Park via Uxbridge Road.
