Leading women’s rugby players join Crew Clothing’s group of ambassadors

Official sponsors of England Red Roses announce new partnership with Abbie Ward and Natasha Hunt

Crew Clothing, the premium British lifestyle brand, has announced that the brand has signed two new ambassadors. Leading women’s rugby players Abbie Ward and Natasha Hunt will be wearing Crew off the pitch, as they travel and relax between tournaments.

The announcement follows the brand’s partnership with the world’s number one women’s rugby team, the Red Roses. As of September last year, Crew Clothing has had the honour of dressing the playing squad and non-playing staff for all formal events and appearances as Official Formalwear Outfitter. The brand is delighted to have built on this exciting partnership with two new ambassadors.

Ward has been playing for the Red Roses for the last ten years, has won several Six Nations titles and has competed in two Rugby World Cup finals. Last year she also made history as the first woman to benefit from the RFU maternity rules, returning to the sport just 17 weeks after having her first child.

“I’m so excited to be joining Crew Clothing as an ambassador. I love to be by the coast, so I was already a fan of the brand. 2025 is going to be such a big year for women’s rugby, and Crew’s support of the sport is something that really appealed to me,” said Ward.

Red Roses scrum-half Hunt has 76 international caps and has twice helped the England squad reach the Women’s Rugby World Cup final. 2024 was an exciting year for Hunt, as she played in John Mitchell’s Grand Slam winning squad in the Guinness Women’s Six Nations and contributed, like Ward, to the Red Roses’ WXV title win in Canada.

Hunt said: “I’m a big believer in British sport, and there’s so many cool things happening in women’s rugby at the moment. I’m really excited for what’s to come this year, and it’s great to be partnering with a brand that shares such a love for the game.”

2025 is a significant year for the players, with both set to represent England in the Red Roses Squad during the Guinness Women’s Six Nations in March, followed by the Women’s Rugby World Cup in August. Crew Clothing is delighted to have Hunt and Ward joining as brand ambassadors at such an exciting time for Women’s Rugby.

Natasha Hunt and Abbie Ward will be joining leading British tennis players Neal Skupski and Jodie Burrage in Crew Clothing’s expanding ambassador programme. These latest partnerships are a natural collaboration that reflect Crew Clothing’s commitment to supporting the best of British sport.

Naomi Parry, Head of Marketing for Crew Clothing, said: “We’re so pleased to be welcoming Abbie and Natasha on board as brand ambassadors. Both are such impressive athletes, and their commitment, drive and values make them a perfect match for Crew. We’re so excited to support them this year, in what is set to be an incredible season for women’s rugby.”
