Marin Čilić has committed his future to HEAD by signing a new head-to-toe contract that will see him play for several more years with HEAD racquets and wear HEAD sportswear and shoes.
The 34-year-old Croat, who is back in the world’s top 20 after a year that has seen him reach the semi-finals at Roland-Garros and the fourth round of the Australian and US Opens, endorses the HEAD Prestige racquet range and Sprint Pro shoes.
Čilić has been under contract to HEAD since 2008 for his racquets, and in 2020 he switched to the Austrian company’s apparel and footwear. He has won 20 tour-level titles, of which the standout is his US Open triumph of 2014.
Ottmar Barbian, executive vice-president of HEAD’s racquet sports division, said: “We are obviously pleased that Marin has signed a multi-year head-to-toe deal with us just two years after switching to our clothing and shoes, but we’re particularly delighted that he has done so in the year when he has been back challenging for the major tournaments. He is a lovely man, an excellent ambassador for our company, and we look forward to working with him for many more years.”
Čilić said: “Apart from the fact that HEAD is an incredible company, I cannot think of a better company for me to be partnered with. All the HEAD staff I work with are very professional, but they look beyond business to the relationships, and many of them have become friends.”
Roman Stepek, vice-president of HEAD’s sportswear division, added: “We are proud of the tailor-made outfit we developed with Marin for his Grand Slam tournaments. He is a passionate partner, a great sportsman and just a pleasure to work with. We are very excited that our successful collaboration with Marin is continuing, and we look forward to the partnership prospering.”
