Neal Spencer of the GNG Group is taking part in this Sunday’s BUPA Great North Run to raise money for the National Autistic Society and is looking for last-minute sponsors to beat his fundraising target.
Says Neal: “My youngest son, Charles, who is now 13, is autistic so I understand the amazing work and support the society provide. Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects the way a person communicates and relates to people around them. Whereas we are very lucky with Charles, a lot of people aren’t so lucky. Around 2.3million people are affected by autism, including family members and professionals involved in the care and support of people with autism.”
