New appointment signals fresh intent from Skins

Ian Reid (pictured) has been appointed as Skins’ new UK marketing manager. Reid arrives at the Australian high-tech compression apparel firm as it prepares for a raft of new product launches and marketing initiatives in 2009.

The 39 year old was previously at adidas where he enjoyed a 12-year career – most recently as consumer relations manager. He’d previously held positions at the industry giant as retail support manager and retail marketing executive.

Says David Ling, general manager of Skins UK: “Ian’s joined Skins at a time when sales have seen rapid growth and brand awareness is increasing amongst active British adults. We’re looking forward to seeing him help take the brand onto even greater success.”
