New Balance appoints Fran Allen to lead EMEA region

Replacing Jonathan Ram, who’s now executive vice president North America, Allen (pictured) has spent the last two years as New Balance’s general manager for the UK and Ireland.

He had previously been responsible for the US and Canadian marketplace.

Allen says: “My 19 years at New Balance offer me great insight into the brand’s unique character, heritage and ideals which, I believe, will enable our EMEA team to execute the company’s strategic growth initiatives with great success.

“We will continue to build on our established leadership position by concentrating on our core competency in running and the brand’s entry into the world’s most popular sport of football.”

Last week, New Balance announced a kit deal with Scottish club Celtic.

The brand is to replace Warrior, which is owned by New Balance, as Liverpool FC kit sponsor from the 2015/16 season.
