Nike is to launch a major UK advertising campaign this week to publicise a new nationwide football tournament.
Called Show Your 5, the 90-second advert, which is also promoting the Nike 5 five-a-side range, will be shown during Manchester United’s Champions League game against Inter Milan on Tuesday. Showcasing Wayne Rooney, Joe Cole and Rio Ferdinand playing in a five-a-side game against a local inner city team, the advert features action apparently captured on CCTV.
Nike wants to sign up 16,000 players to take part in a series of five-a-side tournaments, where the top teams will play in a national final on May 10.
