The organisers of Shrewsbury Half Marathon, UK Run Events, have announced On as Official Sports Brand for the event on Sunday, June 17, and for the Shropshire Primary Schools Challenge on Saturday, June 16.
Born in the Swiss Alps, On has won international awards for its revolutionary shoes which are known for offering both a cushioned landing and a firm take off.
For all those signed up to #RunShrewsbury, it will be a huge bonus to have the presence of such a well-respected brand on race weekend. Runners will be able to learn more about what makes On so unique and try on shoes from their fantastic range of footwear.
On will also have a Run on Clouds arch at the start and finish of all the races, and will be supporting the pacers who will be helping runners to hit their target times in the half marathon.
There are less than 160 places left for Shrewsbury Half Marathon and anyone wishing to run this professional and friendly race is encouraged to sign up now. The closed-road course takes runners through Shrewsbury’s Medieval city centre and out into the stunning Shropshire countryside, making it one of the UK’s most picturesque half marathons.
