The Outdoor community is coming together to support the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
The Outdoor Industries Association, working closely with the Polish Outdoor Group, have assembled a list of urgently needed products. They have come up with options for outdoor companies to donate product and you can download the guide here.
Urgently required products are:
• Sleeping Bags
• Sleeping Mats
• Head torches or hand-held torches
• First Aid Kits
The OIA have also include details of the Polish Outdoor Group who may be able to help you if you have customers, suppliers or other partners in the outdoors industries in Ukraine.
Andrew Denton, OIA CEO, said: “We are really proud to be able to tell you that the first lorry with outdoor products is now on its way to Ukraine.
“In co-operation with the EOG, SOG and the tireless work of the Polish Outdoor Group, the OIA are proud to guide our members and support our partners to ensure critical products gets straight to the hands of those who need it the most.
“This is the first lorry with more to come. If you want to collaborate, make sure you visit our Ukraine Crisis page where you can find useful information on transport, contacts for the Polish Outdoor Group and find out what other members are doing and opportunities to get together to maximise the support for the people of Ukraine.
“We’ve been approached by multiple OIA members on the humanitarian responses available and wish to share them with all. Please find here details of organised aid by the OIA, its members, partners and the wider outdoor community. If you, or your business are co-ordinating any donations and want to promote or ask for others to support please let us know and we can include your details.”
