The group’s figures were boosted by record revenues from Speedo and Ted Baker footwear.
Brand revenue and income from other non-retail businesses rose five per cent to £618 million, while JD Sports, in which Pentland is the majority shareholder, posted a record revenue increase of 19 per cent to £1.6 billion.
Pre-tax profits for the year stood at £164 million, a 92 per cent increase on 2013.
Pentland’s brands include Speedo, Berghaus, Mitre, Ellesse and Canterbury, the latter posting a double digit sales increase in the UK last year.
It’s also the global licensee for Lacoste Chaussures and Ted Baker footwear and Kickers in the UK.
