Precision Goalkeeping has announced a new award in association with The Football League.
The Precision Goalkeeping Golden Glove award will be presented each month to the Football League goalkeeper that has kept the most clean sheets in all competitions.
There will also be an annual award in each division of The Football League for the goalkeeper that has kept the most clean sheets throughout the season.
“The Precision Training brand has had a fantastic relationship with The Football League as the official training aid suppliers for the past three years,” says national sales manager David Sanderson.
“Our Precision Goalkeeping brand only launched in 2010 and is going from strength to strength, and we wanted to give something back to the goalkeepers who are often forgotten about at awards time.
“With so many goalkeepers using the Precision Goalkeeping gloves in The Football League it felt like the perfect fit.”
John Nagle, The Football League’s head of communications, adds: “Goalkeepers are often football’s unsung heroes, so we are delighted to recognise their efforts through this award.
“I’m sure it will be something that keepers throughout The Football League will want to get their hands on.”
