Precision Training has made a Premier League signing after finalising an official partnership with Aston Villa to become its official supplier of specialist training aids. The two-year agreement runs until the end of the 2009-10 season.
The company, a wholly-owned brand of Reydon Sports, will supply a complete range of training aids and equipment for use throughout Villa’s Academy and senior playing squads. Says David Sanderson, Reydon Sports’ national sales manager: “Our portfolio includes clubs throughout all three divisions of the Football League and we are delighted to add Aston Villa as our first Premier League club. As the brand leader in the supply of sports training aids, it is a great honour to partner one of the country’s most successful and ambitious football clubs.
“With the recent success of our Olympians, we have seen a huge surge in demand for our products. Our training aids are used by clubs and individuals on sports grounds and parks all over Britain.”
The Precision Training range includes hurdles, speed ladders, boundary poles, cones, resistance parachutes, tactics posts, portable goalposts and shelters. Precision Training – whose brand ambassador is the former Aston Villa and England manager Graham Taylor – already boasts a series of strategic sports partnerships with leading sports governing bodies, clubs and individual athletes. The company’s football club portfolio includes partnerships with Coventry City, Leicester City, Preston North End, Shrewsbury Town and Notts County. Precision Training is also a supplier of official specialist training aids to England’s elite referees through the Professional Game Match Officials, the Professional Football Coaches Association, Nottinghamshire CCC and three-times national ladies hockey champions Leicester.
