
The Capital’s latest wellness hotspot invites Londoners to start their day with a 5k, in partnership
with The Runner Beans and HOKA ONE ONE
To celebrate its opening this September, Westin Hotels & Resorts’ UK debut, The Westin London
City is delighted to announce the relaunch of its Rise and Run programme. In partnership with
influencer Charlie Watson, AKA The Runner Beans, the hotel invites runners of all abilities to the
run taking place on Thursday 2nd September.
Kicking off at 7:00am, the event will begin in the hotel’s lobby, giving participants an exclusive first
look at ahead of its opening on the 28th September. Charlie will then lead the group through a
warmup before heading out on the scenic five-kilometre run along the Thames. Accompanied by
Charlie and Westin’s Run Concierge, the circular route will take the group across Tower Bridge,
down past Borough Market, across the Millennium Bridge and around St Paul’s Cathedral, before
heading back to the hotel for refreshments. Allowing city dwellers of all abilities to start the day on
the right foot, the Rise and Run programme encourages participants to switch off from the daily
stresses of life and focus solely on the run ahead of them.
To coincide with the re-launch of Rise and Run, The Westin London City is delighted to be
partnering with premium performance footwear brand HOKA. Upon arrival to the event, runners
will have the chance to try on the brand’s latest take on fan-favourites, the Clifton 8 and Arahi 4,
and trial them out on the 5k. Post-run refreshments will also be provided by The Juicery who will
serve up an energising juice filled with nutritious ingredients to replenish participants, setting them
up for the day ahead. Following the run, attendees will also have the chance to speak with Charlie
who will be available to share any tips and advice they may seek.

destination, opening its doors to guests from the 28th September. Boasting a prime riverfront
location, ideally situated on Upper Thames Street between Monument and Temple, the hotel
completes the Thames walkway, providing a gateway between the city and river. Embodying the

service, runners of all abilities are invited to head out and explore the various scenic routes, with

Studio provide an array of wider fitness and wellness offerings to suit each and every type of
traveller.
Free and open to all abilities, the five-kilometre Rise & Run launch event will take place on
Thursday 2nd September at 7:00am. Participants are asked to arrive at The Westin London City
from 6:45am, for a 7:15am start, with the event ending by 8:30am. The monthly club will return
with its next run in October (date TBC).
