Ronhill Sports were recently awarded a framed certificate in recognition of their support of England Athletics, Club of the Year – Wirral. A.C. The award was presented to Brand Director, Graham Richards, at the club’s annual Awards evening.
Graham also presented a new award ‘The Ron Hill Memorial Award’ in recognition of Dr Ron Hill, MBE, who died, last year.
In July, this year, the club will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Birkenhead Park 5 Mile Road Race. The first race was in 1972 and continued even during lockdown with a virtual race.
Graham commented:
‘It is great to see the ongoing success and development of the club and having been a member of Wirral myself for 50 years, I am only too pleased that we can support the club in a number of ways’
