RunThrough, the UK’s largest and Europe’s fastest-growing running events company, has unveiled the latest addition to its already 240 event strong calendar: the inaugural Fulham 10k.
Scheduled for November 17th, this Fulham 10k promises to captivate runners with a scenic route through the heart of Fulham, heading past Stamford Bridge, home of Premier League football club Chelsea FC and starting and finishing at Eel Brook Common.
The Fulham 10k will now be the November Top Flight elite race, attracting top-tier athletes from around the country. Top Flight offers runners points and cash incentives to perform their best throughout the 12-race series, the winner of each race receives 25 points, the second-place finisher 18 points, with 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1 points for 3-10th. Best of 3 scores count toward the overall series total and in the event of a tie; the head-to-head outcome at series finale, the Ribble Valley 10k, decides each position. Each race has a prize purse of up to £4000, with bonuses awarded for stand-out performances such as a course record or RunThrough record. For more information on the Elite Prize Structure, see this website.
“We are excited to introduce the Fulham 10k to our roster of events, especially as it joins our esteemed Top Flight series,” said Chris Parr, Top Flight Series Director. “Fulham’s vibrant streets offer the perfect backdrop for runners to push their limits and showcase their talent. We look forward to welcoming elite athletes and running enthusiasts alike to this exciting new race.”
The Fulham 10k route will showcase the best of Fulham’s landmarks and scenery, providing participants with an unforgettable running experience. From tree-lined streets to iconic landmarks, runners will traverse a road-closed route, taking in the centre of Fulham and Parson’s Green.
Registration for the Fulham 10k is now open, offering participants the chance to secure their spot in this highly anticipated event. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a first-time racer, the Fulham 10k promises an exhilarating race day experience for all. RunThrough will organise and deliver 240 events in 2024, with over a quarter of a million participants, including the Battersea Chase the Sun 5k, also a Top Flight race, and the Run Thorpe Park event in September.
