SafeSize appoints Martin Kempkes Chief Commercial Officer to lead global sales & operations

SafeSize, the innovative retail tech company that is helping people find the perfect fitting shoes in physical and online stores and recently raised €14M series B funding, announced a new appointment to its executive leadership team.

Martin Kempkes has been named Chief Commercial Officer, effective April 3 2023, with responsibility for leading the company’s business development and sales strategy and ensuring operational excellence with particular focus on strengthening the company’s presence in Europe and APAC regions as well as expanding its operations in the US.

Martin Kempkes is a seasoned professional, with over 25 years of experience and an impressive track record in retail and especially in the sporting goods industry. He has worked for leading companies such as Karstadt, Peel & Cloppenburg as well as INTERSPORT International where he was appointed Chief Retail Officer in 2017 and was responsible for managing the corporate brand across over 45 countries.
