Saucony hires Brandnation for UK PR campaign

The London-based public relations firm will be managing the running brand’s UK press office for trade, specialist and consumer media, as well as the promotion of Saucony’s key sponsored events throughout 2015, including the Cambridge Half Marathon, Brighton Marathon, the London Marathon Expo and sponsorship of the English Cross Country Association, which includes the English National Cross Country Championships and the English Cross Country Relay.

Brandnation will also be managing Saucony’s social media content across all channels.

In addition, the remit encompasses the launch of Saucony’s new multichannel marketing campaign – called Whoa – in support of the new ISO-Series product launch for SS15, a range consisting of the re-engineered Triumph, Hurricane and the new Zealot shoe.

“Working with the marketing team at Saucony, we have ambitious plans to engage a wider mass audience, while maintaining the core identity, credibility and heritage of the brand,” Brandnation managing director Mary Killingworth says.

Emma Roach, Saucony marketing manager for the UK and Ireland, explains: “We are excited to be working with an agency with so much expertise in the running and consumer arena, particularly as we launch one of our biggest and most exciting global campaigns to date.

“Our brand has always had a very credible, loyal and knowledgeable customer base, and with the help of Brandnation we hope to communicate our stylish, innovative and trusted brand to a wider consumer audience.”
