Significant number of UK consumers prefer to shop on the high street instead of online

That’s according to a new survey from managed cloud company Rackspace.

Frustrated by long-winded search functions and too much choice, 34 per cent of shoppers give up browsing a website after just 10 minutes if they can’t find what they want and a further 26 per cent will give up after 15 minutes.

As a result, 45 per cent of shoppers would switch to another website, 35 per cent claim they would abandon their purchase entirely and 24 per cent would hit the shops instead.

Women are more likely to turn to the high street for shopping inspiration than men, according to the report.
