Skechers extends two triathlon sponsorship deals

The brand has confirmed it will remain the official footwear sponsor of the London Triathlon and Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Blenheim Palace Triathlon until 2016.

With over 13,000 participants and 30,000 spectators, the London Triathlon is the world’s biggest triathlon event, while the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Blenheim Palace Triathlon is the UK’s second largest triathlon, with over 7,000 participants.

“The partnership cements our continued commitment to the performance category and is ideally suited for our long-term Skechers Performance Division strategy,” Pete Youell, Skechers’ UK and Ireland managing director, says.

“The past two years have seen the Skechers Performance Division go from strength to strength, winning multiple product awards and accolades, as well as changing hearts and minds along the way.

“With an ever-growing elite and aspirant following, we look forward to continued success in the world of performance running.”

The Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Blenheim Palace Triathlon is scheduled for June 13-14.

The London Triathlon takes place on August 8-9.
