Some people enjoy St Patrick’s Day with a few pints of Guinness, but for The FA’s International Teams Coordinator, Kieran Nokes, it will be a bit more challenging.
Nokes will be attempting to race from one side of Costa Rica to the other on March 17 to win the Challenge Trophy and raise money for the Prince’s Trust. Kieran and friends will be running, cycling, using rafts and kayaks through the various stages over seven days, covering an average distance of 21 miles per day. Some of what stands in his way includes the continental divide, a jungle and a section of river known as ‘alligator territory’.
Kieran is hoping to raise £2,900 for this challenge so please give as much as you can. For more information visit www.justgiving.com/nokes
