
On’s new office in Yokohama, Japan has been opened as a result of the “enormous demand” for its shoes in the region.
COO Marc Maurer says: “Since its founding in 2010, international expansion is a key element of the strategy of On.
“Japan is one of the largest markets in running and to run is deeply rooted in the culture of Japan.
“In the Japanese market, which has a strong bias to technology and design, the demand for On running shoes was enormous even before the opening of the new On office.
“Japan will make a significant contribution to the future growth of On and will be the starting point for the consistent implementation of the Asian strategy.”
On running shoes are currently available from 37 retailers in Japan.
