Mohamed El Shorbagy and Nour El Sherbini stamped their authority on the squash tour by taking home British Open titles in what was a 100 per cent Egyptian, 100 per cent Tecnifibre presence at the top of the podium.
After beating world number eight Nouran Gohar, El Sherbini, the world number five, became the first Egyptian female player to win the British Open.
Current world number one El Shorbagy won the men’s singles title for a second consecutive year, beating world number five Ramy Ashour 3-0 in the final.
El Shorbagy and El Sherbini play with the Carboflex 125S racquet.
Women’s finalist Nouran Gohar is also part of Team Tecnifibre.
She plays with the Carboflex 130.
