The Converse Weapon is back

The Converse Weapon was introduced on the court in 1986, and it quickly forged a connection to teams, games and individuals who love basketball culture. Today, the Weapon is back in OG form through a new collaboration with fragment’s Hiroshi Fujiwara.

Featuring a full leather upper, the Converse x FRGMT Weapon’s color-blocking lands along the Y-bar, collar underlay, Star Chevron logo underlay and toe box. A fragment design logo is debossed on the lateral heel cap, underscoring the design house’s signature understated branding. Keeping true to the silhouette’s original form, a leather woven tongue features an original Converse Weapon-branded label and terry cloth lining.

Inspired by Converse’s legacy in sport, the resulting execution stays authentic to both fragment’s signature aesthetic and the Weapon’s original form. In true fragment style, the capsule delivers a minimalistic approach that emphasizes its classic, Sport Royal blue and black color-blocking scheme, reserved for the most iconic fragment collaborations.

Converse has long been rooted in communities across basketball, sport, music and art. Through the Weapon, Converse once again serves those communities, allowing the next generation of creatives to discover the silhouette for themselves.

The apparel capsule includes a wool varsity jacket, french terry hoodie, and two loose-fit jersey tees.

The Converse x FRGMT Weapon and apparel capsule release globally May 11 on converse.com and at select retail partners.
