The Derby Runner has been crowned the overall winner of the New Balance NBX Elite dealer initiative for 2008. As well as the accolade, the specialist running shop, based in Spondon, near Derby, also received a brand-new New Balance van.
New Balance launched the NBX programme as part of a marketing plan targeting the dedicated runner at the start of 2008. The company focused on nine key running retailers in the UK and Ireland, with the aim of increasing the national availability of the Elite New Balance product line while supporting sell-through via training and motivating the retail teams in store.
Says Mark Ward, New Balance’s UK & Ireland country sales manager: “I am delighted to be able to award this prize to the guys from The Derby Runner. I would like to thank them for all their support and hard work and wish them every success with the New Balance brand for the future.”
