The North Face: NSE D2 – The Power of Reflection

Made for those, like collaborator Kam-BU, who seek solace in natural surroundings. Every stitch and seam in step with the tranquillity of our cities’ quieter corners.

Following the first instalment inspired by underground rave culture, spearheaded by London artist and conservationist Kam-BU, this NSE drop celebrates the power of reflection. In collaboration with Kam-BU, The North Face has outlined a new era of exploration that is inspired by the city explorer, merged with the serenity of the outdoors. A balance between mountain peak-levelled escapism and street-levelled grit. NSE is a true labour of love dedicated to bringing out everyone’s inner explorer.

Kam-BU is an up-and-coming artist and climate activist whose sound nods to UK rap, rave culture and his Jamaican roots. Taking inspiration from Kam’s personal exploration, the collection was shot in his allotment where he seeks sanctuary from the city and at Crane Valley Nature Park where he volunteers for the London Wildlife Trust.

While defining the inspiration behind the campaign Kam-BU said:
“The outdoors just ground me. It’s like a reset where for a short period my mind isn’t anywhere else. I’m just in the moment and focused on the sounds of nature and the task at hand.”

With a wide colour palette, NSE finds iconic spring and summer staples emblazoned with both simplistic and adventurous designs that range from cosmic haze through to warm hues. A true balancing act, illuminating the ethos to never stop seeking elevation, all the while being grounded in who you are.

NSE equips the beholder to explore their city in style and discover areas that has the potential to ignite inspiration that is only found through the beauty of exploration. Staple pieces include the Men’s Convin Anorak and Trousers, the Women’s Dybaka Summer Jacket and Pant, the Explore Cap and VECITV Taraval Tech.
