Three Lions on a shirt: Sports Direct unveil new football shirt in honour of Football Shirt Friday

Ahead of Football Shirt Friday on Friday 21st April, Sports Direct has unveiled a brand new bespoke football shirt in partnership with Football Shirt Friday and the Bobby Moore Fund. The full price of the shirt, which hit store shelves on Friday 14th April, will be going directly to the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.

The specifically designed Football Shirt Friday jersey showcases a Three Lion Silhouette, a nod to Bobby Moore’s achievements with England, alongside the Football Shirt Friday logo sitting proudly in the centre.

Football Shirt Friday is a charity initiative which encourages football lovers to wear their favourite football shirt to work or school, whilst donating a small amount of money in support of the Bobby Moore Fund. The Bobby Moore Fund raises money to further research into bowel cancer, as part of Cancer Research UK.

Speaking about the Sports Direct and Football Shirt Friday partnership, Chief Marketing Officer for Frasers Group Beckie Stanion, said: “We’re delighted that we’re able to partner with the Bobby Moore Fund and Football Shirt Friday on this initiative. Bobby Moore’s contribution to football is unforgettable, so it’s great to see his legacy live on through an important cause and really fun event. Football Shirt Friday is widely celebrated across offices and schools around the country and we’re so glad we’re able to contribute to that by creating this bespoke shirt especially for the day.”

The shirt is available in both adult and children’s sizes, with the adult shirt priced at £25 and the children’s shirt at £20. The shirts are available now at sportsdirect.com.
