Zizou revealed the ball, which according to manufacturer adidas has been in development for 18 months, on his Instagram page.
Called Beau Jeu – translated in English as ‘the beautiful game’ – the coach of Real Madrid’s reserve team will be playing with the ball on the five-a-side pitch at the Future Arena in Saint Denis, Paris – billed as the world’s first digital football stadium this evening (November 12).
Featuring the panel shape of the Brazuca, the official match ball of the 2014 Football World Cup, adidas says improvements have been made to the Beau Jeu’s surface structure and blocking, which have improved its grip and in-flight visibility.
Federations competing in the tournament in France next summer will receive the ball to train and play with by the end of November.
